I went to Cuba, NM last weekend to celebrate my Aunt Helen's 77th b-day and to visit with my grandma who flew in from MT. My mom met me there from Roswell, and we got to visit with alot of my other great aunt's and uncle's. It was a good weekend.
Nik and Carla came to visit us in Las Cruces for the weekend. We did a ton of shopping. All of us were so tired at the end of the weekend. This is us at Texas Roadhouse. Yummy!
Our friends, Nevin and Suzanne Alderman, moved away to Utah and we went to Western Playland in El Paso, TX the weekend before they left. It was a great day. It's a really small park and Chris got some free tickets. There weren't any lines for the rides so we got to ride them as many times as we wanted. It rained on us a little, but we stuck it out. We miss them a ton. :)
Every time we go by the Wilson Arch we have to stop and climb up in there. I'm pretty sure it's in Utah. So this was the end of our trip. It was a good vacation. Hope you enjoyed the pics.
We got to see my Aunt Kari and Aunt Kim and my cousins in MT. And my grandparents. Then we stayed with my Aunt Kit in Salt Lake City, UT on our way home.
My mom grew up in Cardwell, MT. This was the school that she went to with her sisters and brother. My grandpa was a teacher and the principal of this school. My mom had a good time playing on the playground which has alot of the same equipment that was there when she was a kid. The picture of her standing on the side of the building is of the fire escape. That's how they would get out of the building if there was a fire. Just slide down the pipe. Crazy stuff. The last picture is of the house she grew up in. It's definately been re-modeled.
We left Seattle headed to Montana to see my dad's side of the family. The first pics are some views on the way. We stopped to visit my grandparents in Whitehall, MT. They have lived on this road so long that it was named after them. Klemo Ln. And this is the house that my dad grew up in. They've re-modeled a bit, but it's still the original house.
We got to go the Space Needle on Chris' birthday. That was really neat. Chris and I ate at the restuarant that was at the top of the Space Needle. The floor rotates so you can see the whole view of Seattle if you stay and eat for about an hour. It was a great experience. Really good food too.
Seattle is where a lot of my mom's family lives so stopped in to stay for a few days. All of the ladies went to get pedicures with my grandma. She loves to get pedicures. Then we had a barbeque with my family and we took a picture of all the original cousins that were there. This was definately not all of us. We have many more, they just weren't there. We also went to the market and Zane and Kara ate at Taxi Dogs. Being crazy. Chris went to the original Starbucks. I forgot to get a picture of that.
