Looking Back.....

This is the weekend that Chris and I met at Bonita Park, December 29th, 2002. We stayed up until 3pm one of the nights around a campfire that wasn't even hot with Leora and Kyle and this was the pic from that. It was snowy outside and freezing. But we liked each other so much from the beginning that it didn't matter.
Carla and I that same weekend. We were celebrating the New Year. Oh we were so young.
I don't remember when this picture was if it was during the Christmas break or one of the summers at BP but I thought it fit with the theme of this post...looking back. Me and Melissa Weaver.
Chris and I were in a long distance relationship for the first 5 months we were together. So I got to see him during my spring break when I went to Texarkana. We went to the lake and we made this heart in the sand.
We also had dinner at Sonia and Vance's house and that's where this picture was. I sent this pic to Chris later with this note attached.

I don't know when we took this picture but I know it was sometime towards the beginning of Chris and Kylee so it made it in. Look at that goatee on Chris.

This is one of the times Chris came to visit me at college in Las Cruces and he lived at BP. He brought me a little kitty that turned out to be a little evil. I would get scared at night when I went to bed because it would jump up on the bed and run at my face and claw. Chris had some other incidents happen when it was his turn to keep the kitty. Stories he'll have to tell you in person when you get the chance. Needless to say that kitty is long gone. Actually we gave it to my friend Kesha, she had it fixed and that cat is awesome. So all turned out well. First year we were married we worked at BP and Chris was embracing the mountain living. He decided to grow his hair out. I think we liked it at first then it was too much.
This was me in my daily uniform at BP. Nametag and all. Good times....good times. This was a great place to start our marriage.
I think this was maybe our first Easter together as a married couple. I'm not sure. But I do remember this sweater. It's one I ordered from American Eagle. I never order clothes online. I did for this sweater because I loved it. After we got married Chris did the laundry and shrunk this sweater so small it would fit a really small child. Bummer for the cool sweater.
